Block Ness's monsters raise their heads to be photographed by tourists, but there's one problem: the lake isn't big enough for everyone! By thinking strategically, the players try to enclose the others so that they can grow tall themselves.

At the start of the game Block Ness, each player receives a set of playing pieces of one color (black, purple, green or orange). Note that the different pieces have different lengths and heights. The player's turn can make his monster longer by adding a piece to it. This should always be done at the head or tail of the player's monster. The head or tail is always moved to the last piece constructed. Monsters from other players may only be crossed by going over them.

The aim of Block Ness is to get as many pieces of your monster on the board as possible. You can block others by including them. That way you get more opportunities yourself. Anyone who has their turn and can no longer dock is out of play. If no player can place any more, each player counts how many pieces he has left in his personal supply. Whoever has the fewest pieces wins the game. In the event of a tie, the player whose monster head is highest wins!
